How to keep settings securely in Visual C# appplication? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Using - VS 2005, C# 2.0

We have the option of creating settings in settings file.

But this creates creates a .config file in wihich the settings are clearly visible. I want either the setting to be unreadable, unmeaningful or not in the file at all.

I want to store some passwords as settings instead of hardcoding in the C# code. So i would like to keep them as settings with no one able to understand or read them.

    How can I?
