  • Question

  • Hi Folks,

I'm very new to Visual Studio Load testing, I have installed and Visual Studio Ultimate 2013 now I need a proper guidance to continue with it.

Also, please help me in running Multiple Scenario's as I have tried adding two scenario but on test result only first scenario is visible. I think results are based on first Scenario only.

    Please help me out....

    Thanks and Regards,

    Sumit Pandey

  • Hi,

The reason only first scenario was executed is that your load test settings is not enough to run all load test scenarios. We can adjust some settings such as Test Mix model, Test Iterations in Run Settings and Max Test Iterations for each Scenario in Properties of each scenario to make all load test scenarios run.

For example, it the Test Iterations count is 10, then you can set Max Test Iterations for each scenario to 5.

    Thanks,

  • Hi Crystal,

Thanks for your reply. I will check this.

I have a doubt, if my Web test fails and then if I add Load test on failed web test, will load test run???

And, why my web test is getting failed, I can navigate to link/url were it is getting failed. But, sometimes it is passed sometime it gets failed. Do you know why it happens?

    Thanks and Regards,

    Sumit

  • Hi Sumit,

Web Test run result does not affect load test run.

The reason that a request failed can be obtained from the error message in web test result viewer. You can see a detailed run result for a failed web test from load test result Test Table->Failed column.

  • HI Crystal,

Many many thanks for your help and making me understand the concepts.

Can you please suggest me is there any way we can do load test on our Database using Visual Studio?

As in one of our project we have one database and that is connected with 4 projects , if any gets failed/issue all four project will suffer.

Can I perform performance or load testing Database using VS?

    Best Regards,

  • Hello Sumit,

In this thread, we are mainly discussing about “how to run multiple scenarios in load test” Since your new question is not directly related to the original issue, it would be better if you open up a new thread for the new question. In this way, our discussion here will not deviate too much from the original issue. This will make answer searching in the forum easier and be beneficial to other community members as well.
