C++ Directories RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm in the process of converting our sizeable project to VS2010; in the process, I had to upgrade from Boost 1.4.0 to 1.4.6. Previously, a quick click on Tools > Options > Projects and Solutions > VC++ Directories.

    But - no longer, and the link on the "Deprecated" VC++ Directories tab has the /old/ instructions.

    What makes this really annoying and confusing is that when I try to set the paths on the /project/, it shows the old boost path as inherited from the parent project. But there is no parent project, just the solution, and there are no directory options in the parent solution.

    After a fair amount of forum / web browsing, I figured out the property manager -> some node / microsoft.cpp.win32.user option.

    Is this designed to be some kind of punishment for not converting to C#?
