The page you are attempting to access requires your browser to have a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) client certificate that the Web server recognizes

    Question

  • I have created a WCF service and published it on IIS 7.0 with HTTPS binding and SSL Settings are set to require.
i am working on window 7.
i used Makecert.exe to generate the certificates for IIS using this command

        makecert -r -pe -n "CN= compaq-jzp37md0 " -b 01/01/2000 -e 01/01/2050 -eku 1.3.6.1.5.5.7.3.1
-ss my -sr localMachine -sky exchange -sp
"Microsoft RSA SChannel Cryptographic Provider" -sy 12

but i am not getting how to get the publicor client certificates.

i tried exporting the certificate form "Trusted Root Certificates Authorities" using MMC and then installed this .cer file to my machine
But it throws an exception The page you are attempting to access requires your browser to have a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) client certificate that the Web server recognizes. with error code 0x80070005

i also tried http://localhost/certsrv but i think this is not available in window 7.
If i change the SSL settings to ignore my web service works fine.
