Lightswitch Filter Control RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi guys,

    I believe Lightswitch Filter Control (LFC) is causing a timeout.

    I have tested another screen without LFC and all the data came back without any timeout.

    Thank you for your assistance

  • The error was because it was timing out.

    so i add it a primary filter to the data and that was the dates filter.

    It worked like a charm :-)

  • Hi Codernater,

    Could you please tell us how do you use the Filter Control and could you please provide any code snippet that how do you filter?
    I download the Filter Control and install it into Visual Studio 2012. Then create my query and use it on screen as below. It works fine in my side.

    partial void FilterCalls_PreprocessQuery(string FilterTerm, ref IQueryable<PhoneCall> query) { query = FilterExtensions.Filter(query, FilterTerm, this.Application);

    }

  • Hi Weiwei,

    I already have the filter established and it working fine last month.

    the filter control runs fine with a new LS application, but not on the existing application.

  • Hi Codernater,

    Could you please tell us what changes do you have done before it timeout? There may be some changes caused this issue. You also can try remove the filter control from this project and add it again.
