  • Welcome to MSDN Forums!

Are you up to date with service packs?

I see Microsoft  Foxpro VFP driver (*.dbf)

and Microsoft dBase VFP Driver (*.dbf)

    and MIcrosoft dBase Treiber (*.dbf)

in Data Source selection of DTS Import/Export wizard.

    Let us know if helpful.

There isn't such selections (Foxpro VFP driver, dBase VFP Driver, dBase Treiber) in Datasources.
These are all in combobox :
.NET FrameWork Data Provider for SQL Server
.NET FrameWork Data Provider for ODBC
.NET FrameWork Data Provider for Oracle
.NET FrameWork Data Provider for Sqlserver
    Flat File Source
    Microsoft Access
    Microsoft Excel
Microsoft Office 12.0 Access Database Engine OLE DB Provider
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Analysis Services 9.0
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Data Mining Services
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for OLAP Services 8.0
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Oracle
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server
    SQL Native Client
VSEE Versioning Enlistment Manager Proxy Data Source.

I'm using sql server 2005 express. How can i up to date ?

  • The DTS Import/Export wizard is not supported for use with SQL Express 2005 so there gurantee of any level of functionality nor anything to update. We do support the use of the Import/Export wizard in SQL Express 2008; you should consider moving to the new version in order to get the supported version of the wizard.

  • I downloaded Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition Service Pack 2
(SQLEXPR_TOOLKIT.EXE) from microsoft.com, then installed. DTS Import/Export wizard was installed.
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\DTS\Binn \ DTSWizard.exe
But there isn't dBase selection in datasource.

You have to check wther the OS is 32 bit or 64 bit configuration. then troubleshoot it.

  • Asked and answered - please read the existing responses. You are running an unsupported scenario so there is no gurantee that the DTS Wizard will work in SQL Express 2005. Asking the question again doesn't change the answer.

  • Hello

i could make it using C# but wanting to make it more easier using DTS if possible

you have to create a connection to the SQL Server and another connection to the Foxpro Database, then run a select statement to the Foxpro Table and and insert into the SQL table, i did it table by table

    Hope it helps

Does anyone have found an easier way?

You can get C# express from Micrososoft for free, I havent tried with express but probably it works

    Good Luck
