Errors in the OLAP Storage engine RRS feed

  • Question

  • When trying to browse a cube recently created and processed i get the following error:

TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
    ------------------------------

The tree graph cannot be created because of the following error:

'Errors in the OLAP storage engine: Either you do not have permission to access the specified member, or the specified member does not exist.
Execution of the managed stored procedure GetTreeScores failed with the following error: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation..'.

    ------------------------------
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Errors in the OLAP storage engine: Either you do not have permission to access the specified member, or the specified member does not exist.
Execution of the managed stored procedure GetTreeScores failed with the following error: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.. (Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Analysis Services 2008.)

What could be the cause of this?  I am using the server administrator account to access ssms directly from the server desktop.  So there should not be any problems with my desktop user account.  I am using SQL 2008 on Server 2008.  I can successfully browse the cube.  The mining structure is build off of the cube data.  Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Dan

  • Server administrator does not have permissions on analysis service by default we have you include this account into SSAS security as admin
