Install SSL on IIS (Windows Server 2016) RRS feed

Hi, I was trying to install an SSL certificate by following this: https://www.godaddy.com/help/manually-install-an-ssl-certificate-on-my-iis-7-server-4801, started from step 1 to 24. When I add the certificate on the Server Certificates under the server. Then the certificate will show up in the Server Certificates list. When I switch from the "Features View" to the "Content View", then back to the "Features View", the certificate is not there anymore. May I know what's happening? and how to fix? Thanks, CC

Thanks for the reply lextm. I was following the example in your link(specifically the one below). How do I know the server director in Windows Server 2016? " 6. Make sure you are on the right directory in command prompt. e.g., if your server directory is “c:/users/srv2012_r2_std_x64”, on the command line type “cd c:/users/srv2012_r2_std_x64”. Note that “cd” is the command used to change directories in command prompt."

Don't know what you are talking about.

My post only revealed the cause, that if you import a certificate without its private key, then disappearing certificate in IIS Manager is expected.

The solution varies, and depends on how you requested that certificate (and how the private key was generated and stored).

Since you requested the certificate probably via GoDaddy, you should work with their customer support to learn the exact steps. Or you can hire a consultant to help you out.
