SQl Server 2005 doesn't install on Windows 2008 RRS feed

  • Question

  • It doesn;t appear that SQl Sever 2005 will install on Windows 2008.

At the prerequisite stage of the install for support setup it says there is a 1603 error

Answers

  • The log is not complete and does not contain the point where the error is reported.

But anyway, I would suggest you disable UAC first and try the installation again.
