  • Hi,

    Have you downloaded and installed report viewer 15.x?

    You could download and install it first from Nuget in Visual Studio.

    Check this little tutorial here: How To Install Report Viewer For Visual Studio 2017

  • Thank you so much Lukas, Yeah that is the first thing which I have installed via Extensions in Visual Studio 219.

  • Try the new nuget. There was a bug in the last one where we inadvertently changed the minor version number.

  • Thank you Brad. I'm still getting an error with NuGet version 150.1358.0 (please see my other issue I've opened on 08/14/2019). It seems version 150.1358.0 fixed only two of the three with Version = 15.3.0.0

    WORKAROUND

    Two options:

    1) Edit the Web.config to replace the Microsoft.ReportViewer.Design Version:

            <!-- Workaround for v150.1358.0, which shipped 15.3.0.0, not 15.0.0.0 -->
            <add assembly="Microsoft.ReportViewer.Design, Version=15.3.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89845DCD8080CC91"/>

    2) Downgrade to 150.900.148. This restores all files to Version = 15.0.0.0.

  • Step 2 worked for me.  Thanks!  I have a winforms app and this restored the other dependencies I needed for deployment, mainly, Microsoft.ReportViewer.ProcessingObjectModel.dll, which wasn't in my GAC.

  • Seems fixed in version 150.1400.0, released 2019-11-07. Thank you.
