Exploring Multidimensional/Tabular Modeling With Real Data RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am looking for some freely-available and authentic datasets that would provide and opportunity to learn how to create cubes and/or tabular models. I am especially interested in domains of application other than sales metrics for which Adventure Works provides the canonical example. For example, I am know of the General Social Survey and the National Election Survey datasets. These datasets would be nice for exploring SSAS data mining, for example, but as far as I can tell, don't really have an appropriate shape to be modeled multidimensionally. Can anyone suggest some examples of freely-available datasets that would be good candidates for multidimensional models?
