hotfix directories in C:\windows

    Question

  • After installation of hotfixes there directories created in the Windows folder with names like:
    DTS9_KB934458_ENU
    RS9_KB934458_ENU
    SQL9_KB934458_ENU
    SQLTools9_KB934458_ENU

Is it possible to remove these files or are these files necessary for Add/Remove, future updates or something else?

    Thank you for your help.

  • Hi CasperG,
If you remove these directories, you may unable to uninstall these hotfixes. One alternative way to do it is that your can move these files to another partition with larger disk space, and move them back once you want to uninstall them.

    Thanks
