  • are they the same?

    i mean, can you create database in PostgreSQL just like how you create it with SQL?

  • PostgreSQL is a DBMS(Database Management System) and SQL is a Structure Query Language used in PostgreSQL, SQL Server and Oracle for example.

    No, it not a Microsoft product instead it is an opern source database management system. However, like other DBMS product it does conforms to latest ANSI-SQL:2008 standard
