    I am getting below error in errorlog frequently. Can anybody help me to find what type of error it is?

    Error: 77022, Severity: 16, State: 1.

  • 77022 is not an error produced from within SQL Server. Error numbers >= 50000 are user-defined errors, that is error numbers you can use with the RAISERROR statement. Thus, this would be an error from the application you are running and you would need to speak to the developer (if in-house application) or the vendor (if third-party app).

    This part "Operating System Error" is a little puzzling though; I don't really see you could get that text with plain RAISERROR message.

  • Where are you seeing this error?  In an application?  Please post the relavent log entries from the SQL Server log.  Also post the results of SELECT @@VERSION.
