Connect from SSRS to SAS

Question
-
We are trying to connect SSRS to SAS data and create a report in SSRS.
We tried to connect from ODBC and OLE DB and got an error saying “SQL processing is not supported”.
Is it possible to run SQL from SSRS against a SAS dataset?
If so can you please help me?
Thank you in advance.

Check COZYROC SAS Data Source component. You can then use the standard SSIS DataReader Destination component to read data into SSRS.

Hi mew123,
According to your description, you want to use SAS data source in SSRS. Right?
In Reporting Services, if you want to connect SAS data, you need to use their OLEDB or ODBC data providers. You can download it from the SAS site below:
SAS OLAP Data Provider Installation
Also you can build custom data process extension to query SAS data. See link below:

If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

Not sure if this is the best sub forum (I will let mods decide). In meanwhile, you may check out http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sqlserver/en-US/332e245e-3c39-4abe-b695-548795025dbe/ssrs-sas.Thursday, September 25, 2014 4:27 PM
