Strange ODBC driver error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    Today one of my WebSites based on node.js and using node-sqlserver driver (this MS driver is a thin layer above real ODBC driver available on WebSites) started to return below errors:

    { [Error: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's SQLAllocHandle on SQL_HANDLE_ENV failed] sqlstate: 'IM004', code: 0 }

    After the restart everything started to work properly, but I would like to know what was the reason. I was searching for the issue on forums and I see it my be related to administrative rights etc. Was anything changed?

    PS. I've also seen the same error on WAMS several days ago but only for about 5 minutes. WAMS is using the same ODBC driver, so what may be the reason to get such an error?

  • Hi,

    Thank you for the reply.

    I got the response on other forum that it may be related to some upgrade don on WebSites. Yes the driver is Preview, but also it is used in production version of Windows Azure Mobile Services (internally). It happened only once and I do not see it again.
