CSOM | Download File | 400 Bad Request | Virus Infected File

Question

When I try to download a file from OneDrive For Business account using CSOM, it throws 400 Bad request. On inspecting the file it seems to be a virus infected file. 400 Error code is more generic and I'm not able to find the specific reason for failure in this case. Is there any way to identify this scenario using CSOM?

Hi Praveen,

SharePoint CSOM download file currently didn't provide detailed description to the error code.

In this case, 400 Error code will cause by multiple reason such as parameter data is valid, Virus Infected File which should be banned by Windows Defender.
