Need to convert data into XBRL format using SSIS RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear Expert,

I need to convert data from XML file into XBLR file format using SSIS package.
As per my knowledge in SSIS we dont have any Connection Manager for XBLR files, so may be i have to use third party component for that.

    Link for XBLR: http://www.xbrl.org/faq.aspx#15

Any help in this is highly appreciable...

    Thanks,
    Avi

  • Hi,
you can use that ( if it is available).
Otherwise you need to write Script or SP for that. Better use the third party component.

    Thanks-

  • If you happen to locate an SSIS Source or Destination component for that format, please post a message at http://ssisctc.codeplex.com/Thread/Create.aspx.  Thank you.

Check CozyRoc Template Task . You can generate arbitrary type of text document with it. You define template document and then connect it to your SSIS variables, files and data flow destinations.

  • Avi, or others,

We are also looking to import xbrl files, could you give us some info on the approach you have used?

Shouldn't it be possible to you xml tasks, however it can be tricky with the (nested) validation no?

    Thanks in advance,

    Bram
