Subscription Failures after AD Account Changes


  • Background:

    • SSRS 2008 R2 Standard/Native Edition
    • I am an SSRS admin on the instance
    • My AD account name was changed this morning (sid remained the same)

    Problem #1:

    • Unable to interactively run SSRS reports which rely on AD account names in the report code.

    Solution #1:

    • Modified the LsaLookupCacheMaxSize in the registry on the SSRS Server as explained in the following KB article:
    • This fixed Problem #1

    Problem #2:

    • All subscriptions owned by me are now failing (subscriptions use shared data sources that have saved credentials)
    • Error message:  Failure sending mail: The user or group name 'DomainName\OldADAccountName' is not recognized.Mail will not be resent.

    What Have I tried:

    • Rebooting server
    • Rebooting client
    • Updating the UserName column in ReportServer.dbo.Users to the new user name
    • Verified that ReportServer.dbo.Users does not have two entries for me (old name and new name)

    Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this?
