ODBC Components not found in the registry (Server 2008)

  • Hi.

I have a problem with my ODBC components running a windows server 2008 enterprise edition.
When I go to the ODBC section, and press "Configure" on the MSAccess database provider,
I get a "Components not found in the registry" message.

Now, I've seen this problem and its solutions running all around the web for server 2003,
but I can't find a proper solution for my OS.
On win 2k8 there's no MDAC installation, and I already tried to import the ODBC registry values from another win2k8 server where it works fine, and it didn't work out.

    One more thing:
The 32-bit components on my machine run just fine - When I look at
it works fine, but I guess the default drivers are the 64-bit drivers and they don't work.

If I could force the OS to use the 32-bit drivers, It will do the job for me, so if someone can guide me how to do it  will be very grateful (Of course fixing the 64-bit drivers installation is preffered).

Thank you very much in advance, Ishay.
