Show max value of customer without aggregating again RRS feed

  • Hi,

    i have customer, sales and type column in my fact table.

    i have to show the sales for the customer based on type(1,2,3,4).

    Here is the issue, Is it possible to to show the sales for customer and also max of type ex 4, sales for customer without aggregating the max value again in sales.

  • No. You should create two measures; one with an AggregationFunction = SUM and the other with the AggregationFunction = MAX from the same source column. That will be your most performant solution.

    Its possible t show sales for customer filtered on few type values

    Second part of the explanation looks confusing

    Can you provide a data sample and explain?

  • Is that Tabular or Multidimensional? There is a solution for each one.

    For Multidimensional, it will look something like

    Tail(NonEmpty(TypeDim.Type.Type,Measures.Sales),1).item(0).properties("Key")

    where you have a filter on customer.
