SSRS Mobile Report 2016-Pass Parameters Value from URL, not working RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Gurus,

I have a mobile report which has a time navigator and default is current month and also have Country parameter and state parameter. Country and state Parameters are cascaded so when I select Australia as a Country, state parameter is getting populated based on country selection. Also these 2 parameters have ALL as a value in selection list and default is ALL

    I am following these

    http://dataap.org/blog/2017/03/27/ssrs-mobile-report-url/

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/reporting-services/mobile-reports/open-a-mobile-report-with-specific-query-string-parameters-reporting-services

and trying to pass country as Australia and state as VIC in URL but it is not working for some reason.

    This is my URL

    https://reportinguat.Mycompany.com.au/ReportManager/mobilereport/Mycompany.Australia.Reports/Device/My%20Reports%20Mobile/Executive%20Scorecard?Counties.@Country=Australia

    OR

    https://reportinguat.Mycompany.com.au/ReportManager/mobilereport/Mycompany.Australia.Reports/Device/My%20Reports%20Mobile/Executive%20Scorecard?Counties.@Country=Australia&States.@State=VIC

When use 1st URL it is not throwing any error but definitely not filtering country as Australia.

When I use 2nd URL, it throwing an error

     Could not load mobile report

The report may be misconfigured, the data may not be available, or the server version may be unsupported.

    Please help.

  • Sorry guys. It was my bad. It is working perfectly.

I did not look into Data-set 1st. So Country parameter is a drop-down and multi-select with a value ALL included. same thing with State Parameter.

When I open the Country Data-set, I can't see any Country parameter getting passed to this data-set. I think initial understanding was to use this data-set to fill Country drop-down list so obviously, it was not required to pass country parameter to this data-set. I modified county and state data-sets and included Country parameter in country data-set and State in State Data-set (State Data-set already had Country parameter) & now when I use this link it works perfectly.
