  • The error is quite clear. You cannot attach (or use a backup) of the SQL Server database made in newer version that the version of SQL Server where you're trying to attach it or restore.

  • Hi Zakwan81,

According to the Internal Database Version 904,869 in the error message, we can see that you are attaching a SQL Server 2019 database(v904) to the SQL Server 2017(v869) instance.

But you CANNOT do this - you cannot attach/detach or backup/restore a database from a newer version of SQL Server down to an older version.

But there are several solutions to migrate the SQL Server 2019 database to a lower version of the SQL Server database. one of them is to use Generate Script Wizard.
    Please refer to following articles:

    Hope this could help you.

    Best Regards,
    Cris
