Power Pivot won't launch after windows 10 update RRS feed

  • Ever since my windows system updated to version 1709, I cannot launch power pivot in excel.

    Any idea what is happening here?

    With this limited information, It is pretty hard to answer this question. However,I would suggest you try to remove the older PowerPivot from your environment first, please also delete these Registry from your environment. *IMPORTANT!! PLEASE DON'T FORGET BACKUP YOUR REGISTRY FIRST BEFORE DELETING THEM!!*

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT- INSATLLER- PRODUCTS find the PowerPivot product and delete it:

    And HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-SOFTWARE-Wow6432Node-PowerPivot, please delete it.

    Then please restart your computer and enalbe the PowerPivot add-in again:

    Important Follow the steps in this section carefully. Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Before you modify it, back up the registry for restoration in case problems occur.
