Subscription views - deploying without data RRS feed

  • Question

  • Isn't it nice to know that even though people have raised the issue that subscription views are not being deployed with a model in earlier versions, in MDS 2016, it still isn't fixed!? Has anyone actually witnessed Microsoft fixing a bug?

What have others found to be the best way to get these views migrated? At present we only have a few so I manually created them but once MDS becomes a serious tool within the company, that won't be practical.

I note someone has created a tool for these but want to avoid such an option if possible

  • Have you created a Version Flag? If the Version Flag exists on both MDS instances the subscription views will be created during the deployment.

In case anyone else runs in to this issue... create the version flag AND associate the flag to the views will result in the views being included in deployment
