Visual Studio 2017 Enterprise - Missing "Edit / Paste Special / Paste JSON as Classes" RRS feed

  • Question

  • Only "Paste XML as classes" are available.

What could be the cause? I have installed all packages so am unsure.

  • Hi Jiri,

Thank you for posting in MSDN forum.

Firstly, please run your VS installer, install ASP.NET and web development workload:

Refer to Paste XML as Class in Visual Studio 2017 , with the cursor placed where you want to insert the code, you now select the edit menu of Visual Studio, expand Paste Special , there are two options:

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH.

I have this all in but it does not work. What else could be the problem?

  • Hi Jiri,

Usually, after the above three workloads installed well, the options will show properly.

Please follow the instructions in the article Paste XML as Class in Visual Studio 2017, make sure every steps are correct.

  • Yeah, I know. This is very odd. I have already created a MS Support case [REG:117121817337495]  for this and so far we do not know the cause. But it does seem to be a common problem -
