Workaround for Applying RDP Licenses RRS feed

  • Question

  • Currently have an issue where I assume RDP grace period has expired and we can no longer RDP into a critical server. This server is in a datacenter several hundred miles away from our nearest technician due to the holidays and it will be very difficult to physically reach in order to apply licenses.

Is there any workaround in order to get some sort of basic administrative RDP for the sole purpose of applying a license? It seems somewhat ridiculous for Microsoft to demand the ransom but not offer an option to pay it, which is why I'm hoping there's some way of applying a license remotely even with an expired grace period.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

  • Microsoft has recently moved the user forums for Windows Server, Azure, and SQL Server to Microsoft Q&A.  Therefore, please post your questions about these applications in the relevant user forums at:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/products/

DO NOT post questions about Windows Server, Azure, and SQL Server in this user forum, which is dedicated to Microsoft Project Server, an enterprise project management application.

    Hope this helps.
