'Set values' tab in Job properties step RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

    I'd like to set a variable to a value in the 'Job Step Properties' in creating an SSIS package as a job. I've tried different syntax and cannot get it to accept anything.

    Property Path                                                                    Value

    \waiver_export.Variables[::fellowship_year_id]                         7

    My variable is fellowhip_year_id, the package is waiver_export. How do I assign a value to this variable at runtime?

    Thanks,

    Phil

  • Try the following int the Property path

    Code Snippet

     \waiver_export.Variables[fellowship_year_id].Value

  • Doesn't work.

    Could not set \waiver_export.Variables[fellowship_year_id].Value value to 7.  Started:  9:36:27 AM  Finished: 9:36:28 AM  Elapsed:  0.828 seconds.  The package execution failed.  The step failed.

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks,

    Phil

  • This worked:

    \package.variables[fellowship_year_id].Value

  • Try

    Code Snippet

    \Package.Variables[User::fellowship_year_id].Properties[Value]

    This assumes that the variable is declared with package scope.
