AZUREStorage is not recognized as a valid connection manager type RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Team,

I have downloaded azure service pack for ssis. I used Azure downloadtask and upload task. I am able to execute both tasks fine in visual studio 2015. While deploying the ssis package into Integration services Catalog i am getting below error.

“Azurestorage” is not recognized as a valid connection manager type”.

Earliest reply will be appreciate and it will be helpful for me.

    Regards,

    Sarath

  • Hi Sarath,

My guess is that Azure Pack needs also to be installed on the machine to which you deployed the package.

  • Both Visual studio and Sql server are residing in same machine. Through sql server also i am not able to connect to Azure storage with storage account name and accountkey. I am able to connect to azure storage in ssis with azurestorage connectionmanager.

Is there any thing we need to install for Sql server to connect to azure storage?

  • Hello there,

Did you ever find a solution to this problem? I'm having the same issue with the AzureStorage not recognized as valid connection manager type.

  • Hi,

For me it worked with ArthurZ's solution.
Install the Azure Pack on the machine where the SSISDB is.
