  • Hi Ting,

Include an item in your list for resolving the issues posted on the SQL Connect database. There are many sitting there for years, needing your attention. If you are looking for a set of improvements, this should be your main guiding light. This is your set and it is time for you to finally get it.

  • To add to CozyRoc's reply, the data sitting in the Connect database highly (IMO) qualify for text mining.

So many things can be done with it as finding top issues per technology (say via word cloud), overall vibe, feature use. Stale requests/fix rate, repeat issues, regression bugs. Technical (CAT) team response times, who finds the most important bugs, etc.

Also what probably can be leveraged is the latest addition of Machine Learning to Azure https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/services/machine-learning/ With the forthcoming R integration it becomes increasingly appealing to shred, predict and visualize where there are most important / nasty bugs, what makes users most dissatisfied where to allocate most technical resources to fixing defects, add features or make changes.
