Excel service Data Refresh error in SharePoint Online ( OFFICE 365 ) RRS feed

  • When ever i am uploading some reports into Project server it displays the following error.

    External data refresh Failed

    An error occurred while working on the Data Model in the Workbook. Please try again.

    According to your description, you are experiencing the issue
    External Data Refresh Failed
    An error occurred while working on the Data Model in the workbook. Please try again.
    We were unable to refresh one or more data connections in this workbook.  The following connections failed to refresh:

    If the SharePoint user has permissions to the PowerPivot Data Source AND that data source accepts Windows Credentials (SQL 2012/SSAS 2012) you can pull real-time data!  This is achieved via the "Use the authenticated user's account" found in the Excel (PowerPivot) workbook > Data > Connections > Properties. The issue can be caused by that the account cannot do not have the permission to backend data source. Please refer to the link below to see the details.

  • Thanks Charlie,

    Is this article  about the share point online. And i wanted to inform that the Data that we are acquiring is from the  O data feed . we are not using any SQL
