  • Hi rocky-don,

This error message relate to blocking and deadlock.

Please monitor the usage of CPU.

If it is higher than normal, it maybe blocking.

If it is very low, it maybe deadlock.

In order to find out what happened, I suggest that you use SQL Server Profiler to trace and find out what happened.

A useful tool provided by SQL Server 2005 and 2008 is sys.dm_os_waiting_tasks. You can use this system view to identify which type of issue with your SQL Server.

After identifying what happened, If it is deadlock, I recommend that you modify your application's logic to solve this issue.

If it is blocking, I recommend that you divide those long task to some small tasks.

    Regards,

    Tom Li - MSFT
