  • This is more of a data warehousing question, so I will be moving it to the appropriate forum momentarily.  However, to answer your question an outrigger dimension is a dimension linked to a dimension.  It is similar to, but not quite the same, as a snow flake.  For more information you can read the article Snowflakes, Outriggers and Bridge Tables by Margy Ross
