cannot load resourcedll:REPLRES.RLL RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,
    OS Vista x86 sp1
I did a uninstall from MS SQL 2008 en 2005. Since then I get a "reslsync.dll - DLL load Error" "cannot load resourcedll:REPLRES.RLL"
Every time the pc is connecting to a drive it shows the error.

How do I get rid of that error?

  • Nicolas,

You may be able to fix it by deleting the sql entries from the registry. But that is not recommended. That feature is basically for Windows experts.

If you reinstall SQL Server 2008, the likelyhood is high that the problem gets resolved.

  • Allow permissions on replsync.dll that cured the error for me.  Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\COM find replsync.dll, left click, permissions administrator access edit, allow and restart.

  • Hello,

I am facing the same issue by using W7 Pro 64bit after installing Visual basic and reqiuered SQL components.

But by browsing for the REPLRES.DLL int the directory where it has to be i found that it was not there.

Is it posible to replace manualy? I am not realy motivated to uninstall and reinstall VB.

    Thank in adnvance

    Kind regards

    Thomas
