  • SQL Server is a Microsoft owned Database . Toad for SQL Server is a third party developed tool for the SQL Server for usage, maintenance, analysis purposes. A simple example is "SPOTLIGHT - Toad for SQL Server". These tools will provide lots of additional features to assist the developer/DBAs etc.

You may get detailed info googling for SPOTLIGHT - TOAD for SQL SERVER. This is one - there are many in markets.
