MSSQLServerOLAPServices Event ID 22 RRS feed

  • Question

  • The description for Event ID 22 from source MSSQLServerOLAPService cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
    SSAS 2016 (13.0.1601.5)

Happens every time a user runs a specific Excel Report.

The following information was included with the event:

Internal error: An unexpected exception occurred.

the message resource is present but the message is not found in the string/message table

Looking at the Flight Recorder provides the same information...

Internal error: An unexpected exception occurred.

Does show Error of -1056964586, but can't seem to find any information about that particular error.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi J.Spencer,

    Thanks for your question.

Could you please highlight the detailed error message? I am not sure what error message you're referring to in your description.

Besides, have you checked the service log in SSAS instance? See if it exists any abnormal error message. What is the version of your EXCEL?

    MSMDSRV service log file

    Best Regards,

    Will

  • Hi John,

Such error message couldn't help us to troubleshoot your issue. If it is from client server side, have you checked windows event log? Or upgrade your excel to up-to-date and see if it overcomes that issue.

    Best Regards,

    Will
