Missing compiler required member 'Microsoft.CSharp.RuntimeBinder.Binder.InvokeMember'

    Question

  • I am attempting to build my Silverlight 4 project in visual studio 2011.  Compiles 100% perfectly in visual studio 2010.  In visual studio 2011, I get these errors:

One or more types required to compile a dynamic expression cannot be found. Are you missing a reference?

    [...]

    Missing compiler required member 'Microsoft.CSharp.RuntimeBinder.Binder.InvokeMember'

Which seems very odd, as I can compile it in 2010 perfectly and the appropriate dynamic references are there.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

  • Hi StefanOlson,

One or more types required to compile a dynamic expression cannot be found. Are you missing a reference?

According the description above, I would suggest you try to add Microsoft.CSharp.dll and System.Core.dll in Silverlight project.  Please find them in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Silverlight\v(your version)\Libraries\Client\.

    Best wishes,

Both both those files are already in my project. It is still a problem in visual studio 2012 RC.
