Is Silverlight able to compile in Team foundation Server 2017?

    Question

  • Hello,

Currently we are upgrading TFS 2015 to TFS 2017, howerver, One of our project is based on Silverlight, we all know that silverlight is not supportable in Visual studio 2017 but in VS 2015, so i am wondering , if Silverlight could be compilalbe/built in TFS 2017 while silverlight code is checked in TFS 2017

  • It depends which Version of VS is connected to TFS 2017,  as I know TFS 2017 could work with both VS2017 and VS2015(not all new features of TFS2017 could work).

So if you use VS2015 on the build agent machine, I think TFS 2017 could work with your project.
