WebError Arguments: Not Found Help Please

    Question

  • Hello,

I use silverlight to access a program/site for my job that is created by a different company. When I attempt to run reports in the program I am receiving the following error which I used to not receive:

    [HttpWebRequest_WebException_RemoteServer]
    Arguments: NotFound
Debugging resource strings are unavailable. Often the key arguments provide
sufficient information to diagnose the problem. See
    http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=106663&Version=5.1.50901.0&File=System.Windows.dll&Key=HttpWebRequest_WebException_RemoteServer

Can someone please tell me if this is an issue on my end as a user of the program/site, or if it is an issue with the developers of the site (I have tried to contacting them with no luck). Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi haileyw,

Please open following Silverlight demo site to check whether it could be opened correctly.

    https://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/new-controls/demo/

If above link could be opened correctly, your issue should be related to the program/site. You need to contact the developer of the program/site.

If above link could not be opened, please check your operating system and browser first, make sure they are compatible with Silverlight.

    https://www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight/locale/en-us/html/installation-win-SL5.html

Then please make sure your browser has enabled Silverlight plugin running in your project.

And if all above environments are satisfied the requirement, please try uninstall and reinstall your Silverlight based on this document's guidance.

    Best Regards,
    Weiwei
