MXchip data in farmbeats? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I deployed farmbeats to demo it to a potential customer, but without data... it is a bit empty and useless. I do not want to invest in sensors for now, so.....

Is it possible to get the data from my MXchip device?

It connects perfectly to Azure, and I think directing the data to farmbeats should be possible, but I dont have a clue how to do that :-) and the internet is not helping me :-) I seem to be the first with this question.

    Can you please advice?

    Kind regards,

    Andrew

  • Hi Andrew,

If your sensor data is already on Azure, you can use FarmBeats APIs to ingest the sensor data. Please see this documentation that should help you with the process: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/industry/agriculture/ingest-historical-telemetry-data

(The doc says historical but works for live data as well)

Also which Azure services are you using to connect your devices to cloud?

    Thanks!

  • thanks for the reply.

    I will dive into that.

I currently have the devices connected to IOT Central which can send the data to blob storage or IOT hub (as far as I remember.

I will let you know here if i succeeded, but I am not a developer so " api"  sounds scary :-)

  • Hi,

Integration with IoT Central is currently not supported but is definitely on our roadmap.

Will keep you posted on that.

    Thanks.
