Lab Tutorial 1 (VPL) - Joystick a Robot in Simulation and in Hardware

    VPL version 2.0  CPT1

    I found my problem.

I didn't actually reinstall DirectX.  I only unpacked the install directory.  I had to run the install once unpacked.

    My bad.

  • Which tutorial are you running? Which version of MSRDS are you using?

    Thanks,

  • Hello Ranger Devill,

I had the same problem and thought for sure I had DirectX installed because other things that required it worked.  Evidently with normal updates it doesn't install the SDK or something.  Try to follow this link and see if everything is installed.  http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3&displaylang=en  Good luck.

  • Please open a new thread on this as it is not related to joysticks.

The problem is probably related to your firewall and has been discussed several times. I will give you more details on a new thread.
