Unable get assembly location RRS feed

  • Question

  • I want to create a service with similar functions as simulated laser range finder. I basically just created an empty service and copied the code of simulated laser range finder, and made some minor changes. But when i actually ran the service in VPL, i got this error message:
    Error Loading Diagram
Unable get assembly location for: http://schemas.microsoft.com/robotics/simulation/services/2007/04/simulatedsonarsensor.html
    Code s:Receiver
Reason Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
    Anyone knows why?

  • There is a know issue in the directory cache that requires it to be deleted sometimes in order for ti to work properly.

  • How is the service configured in VPL? Does your service work when you start it from the command line (e.g. through a manifest)?

(You may have to delete the contractdirectorycache.xml in <msrs>\store)
