winkey + F in win 10 RRS feed

  • Question

  • In the Windows 7, in order to do a search for a word or a phrase on the computer itself, not on the net, I would click on the windows key and then F. A small window would appear on the right hand corner. On it I would type the word I wanted. Say I wanted “apple”. In seconds everything that had apple in it, emails, texts etc would appear. On Windows 10, which is supposed to be better it does not work this way. Pls advise how to do it on Windows 10

    feature. Any suggestion, please?

  • In win 10 it is win key + "S"  (search)

There are many ways you can initiate a search.

  • Hello,

The Windows Desktop Perfmon and Diagnostic tools forum is to discuss performance monitor (perfmon), resource monitor (resmon), and task manager, focusing on HOW-TO, Errors/Problems, and usage scenarios.

As the question is off topic here, I am moving it to the Where is the Forum... forum.
