  • Hi WildBamboo,

That is puzzling.  Those videos are hosted using the same video service and the same video player as the other videos on the site, so the user experience should be the same.

All of the videos are also available on the Microsoft Showcase site, please try them there and let me know if you are continuing to have trouble viewing the videos.  Here is the link to the first few videos:

    1. Introduction to Silverlight http://www.microsoft.com/showcase/en/us/details/41071d59-fa1e-4caa-874e-ebc162412586

  • Thank you.  I've reported it to the team that manages that site.
    Friday, March 11, 2011 2:59 PM

  • Hi WildBamboo,

The team has been looking into this and cannot replicate the error.  Can you do me a favor and check to see whether you are still encountering the error on the site?  If you are, please send me an email at lodirk @ microsoft dot com .

And, if you don't mind, I'd like to ask the team to follow up directly with you.

  • Hey it is 2012 and I can not get the training videos to play, on one machine, it wants to upgrade the silverlight, and then says the installed version is newer, and then the video does not play. On another machine any video I select just does not start. If I click the video link, it shows info such as length in mins and secs, but nada

There is an ever present box that wants me to download silverlight, which I tried eventually and it acts like it is downloading, and then still nada. This is the kind of thing that disappoints people who just started using a product they purchased, and makes them sell thier MS stock ( I am in total denial that the product I recently purchased seems to be discontinued ( covering my ears and saying lalalalala I cant hear you))

    I am trying this here:http://expression.microsoft.com/en-us/ff723798
