Edit permissions of Tenant User RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

When we create Tenant user accounts through Windows azure pack admin panel, the user account privilege is set to VMM Tenant Administrator profile Permissions. I would like to set a custom permission level for my Tenant users. Like my Tenant users will not have the option to delete their VMs from Tenant portal.

I can see the new tenant user is created using New-SCUserRole and if we need edit permissions for a particular user we need to use the Set-SCUserRole power shell command. But don't for the tenent users created through windows azure pack administrative panel, how the default permissions level can be altered at the time of user creation itself.

As we know there is no option to choose permission levels from windows azure pack admin panel at the time of user account creation. I believe we need to edit the backend powershell script run at the time of user creation to achieve this. But not sure how to achieve it. Any help will be appreciated.
