CustomAction WEBCA_ApplyWebFolderProperties returned actual error code 1603 (note this may not be 100% accurate if translation happened inside sandbox)

-2147024864 translates as "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process".

Which file? Which process? iisreset or net stop iisadmin do not help.

  • Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

Since you get issue when you install web application with IIS6 and IIS7 compatibility installed, I am afraid that the issue is out of support of VS General Question forum which mainly discusses WPF & SL designer, Visual Studio Guidance Automation Toolkit, Developer Documentation and Help System and Visual Studio Editor.

I suggest that you can consult your issue directly on VS Web Deployment Projects forum for better solution and support.

If I have misunderstood anything, please feel free to let me know.

    Best regards,
