Difference between Users (count) listed in Resource Center vs Manage Users (under server settings)? RRS feed

  • We have prepared 2 list of users - One from exporting the users from Resource Centre and the other one  by getting the list as they appear under "Manage Users" area of Server Settings.

    Our initial expectation was that these 2 lists will have the same user listed but there are quite a big no of users that appear in the resource centre list but not in the other list.

    What could be the possible reason of the difference in the both lists that there are more users listed in the resource centre extract?

  • Hi there,

    Yes, what you see is correct. There is adifference between the User & resource. Manage user is a section where you create a User of PWA,
     User is a person who can log in to Project Server and use its features and functions. Depending upon the person's role within the organization, a User may need to log in to Project Server's web interface, PWA. A Resource, on the other hand, is some one or something that a Project Manager utilizes to complete work on a project. A Resource may be a piece of equipment

    Resource center lists all the users & resources but the Manage users shows only user of PWA.
