Can't Install MVC 3 RRS feed

I cannot seem to get MVC 3 to install. I use the link for the Web Platform Installer and the program goes through the motions and indicates success. When I open Visual Studio Projects, the only project choices I have are for MVC 2. I have tried to do this several times.

I am running Windows 7.0 Home Premium with SP1

    Microsoft Visual Studio 2010
    Version 10.0.40219.1 SP1Rel
    Microsoft .NET Framework
    Version 4.0.30319 SP1Rel

    Installed Version: Professional

    Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Professional - ENU Service Pack 1 (KB983509)   KB983509
This service pack is for Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Professional - ENU.

    What am I overlooking?

On the project selection screen, make sure that have it to set to .NET 4.0

ASP.NET MVC3 requires .NET 4.0 and won't appear if you have it to set to .NET 3.5 or less.

I have the version set to 4.0. Here is a "solution" I found in one blog:

    Steps to workaround are:

    1. Remove the trailing backslash from the following registry keys:

    2. Uninstalled the old version of "Microsoft ASP.NET Web Pages".

    3. Add the trailing backslash back to those keys.

    4. Install MVC 3.

The problem is that I cannot find an entry in "Installed Programs" called "Microsoft ASP.NET Web Pages". What is this referring to?

    Hi Stevel,

Regarding the questions about VS2010 SP1, I suggest you submit your question or feedback to the Microsoft Connect Site.
