Failed to execute the command 'BulkUpdateCommand' RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm syncing a SqlExpress 2008 R2 database to SQL Server 2014. The initial sync worked fine, but subsequent syncs fail with the following errors in the IntelliTrace logs:

Microsoft.Synchronization.Data.DbSyncException: Failed to execute the command 'BulkUpdateCommand' for table 'TableName'; the transaction was rolled back. Ensure that the command syntax is correct.
System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: The conversion of a datetime2 data type to a smalldatetime data type resulted in an out-of-range value

I've checked the data structure in both databases, and they are identical. There are no datetime2 data types in the table, but there are some smalldatetime fields and most of them are null (but these are all nullable fields).

Has anyone seen an error like this? And any ideas to how to get around it?
