  • How can I add a button to the Outlook contact card ui, which view when the mouse over the selected contact item on the recepients list (when send an e-mail, or invite to an appointment)?

  • Hello,

    There is no trivial way to get the job done. The Outlook extensibility model doesn't provide anything for that. You may try to use Windows API functions though.

  • No, you cannot. The contact card is not customizable.

  • VSTO doesn't provide anything for that too. The only possible solution is to try using Windows API functions.

  • The contact card context menu is extensible; it has idMso="ContextMenuContactCardOverflowDropdown".

    At least, this was true in Outlook 2010 through 2016. MS has changed the contact card UI in Outlook 2019 and I have yet to determine an idMso for the context menu on the new contact card.
